Identification of plants in current display.

The 2006 annual display includes Cannas (Canna 'Wyoming' and 'Australia') , Purpleleaf Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas ' Blackie'), Bat Faced Cuphia (Cuphea llavea), and Tiger Eye Sumac (Rhus typhina 'Tiger Eyes').

Speakers Circle is an area at the center of campus where free speech in a public forum is encouraged and often encountered. Surrounding the area are a number of large planters with seasonal displays of colorful plants.

Tiger Eyes Sumac (Rhus typhina ‘Tiger Eyes’) makes a statement among the Canna and Cuphea.

 

Tiger Eye Sumac (Rhus tiphina ‘Tiger Eyes’) and Sea Green Juniper (Juniperus chinensis ‘Sea Green’) create winter interest.
