Amur Maple – Acer ginnala
This native of Asia has fragrant flowers and attractive red-orange fall color. Its small size and
hardiness make it a good choice for planting in containers. However, because it is listed as a
potentially persistent colonizer on disturbed lands in Missouri, we plant a similar species,
Acer tataricum, instead.
